A chiropractic adjustment is a manual procedure, done with either the Dr’s hands or an instrument, to manipulate joints of the body that are restricted, or subluxated. The purpose of the adjustment is to restore and increase joint function helping to alleviate joint inflammation, reduce pain, and increasing the flow of the nervous system allowing the brain to communicate with the rest of the body efficiently.
MFR is a soft tissue technique that helps correct fascial restrictions to return tissue back to normal function. Our body is made up of a large network of thick web-like fibers that are interconnected with muscles, bones, nerves, and organs all throughout the body. When we have biomechanical dysfunctions, we develop fascial restrictions, which ultimately starts a chain reaction and increases your risk of injury.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization
IASTM is a soft tissue technique that utilizes a metal or plastic instrument to breakdown scar-tissue resulting in decreased pain and increased function. Scar-tissue and adhesions are caused from trauma, repetitive stress/over-use, or post-surgical procedures. The tools stimulate the affected muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascial structures creating a controlled microtrauma within the tissue. This controlled microtrauma creates a cascade of healing effects on the cellular level which increases vascularity, fibroblast proliferation, and collagen synthesis.
Designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion.
Rehab is an important part of the treatment process because it helps correct muscle imbalances. This is important to help reduce stress throughout the body.
A therapy used to increase blood flow to the area being treated decreasing pain and stiffness.
A therapy used to relax muscles, break-up scar tissue, and decrease swelling/edema.
Mobilizes the spinal column while increasing blood flow and oxygen to the discs, ligaments, and muscles.
Custom Orthotics are offered through Sole Supports and is recommended for anyone who has foot, knee, or low back pain. The orthotics provide support to your foot and decreases stress in the joints of your lower extremities and low back by improving the efficiency your biomechanical gait.
